This is believed to be Samuel J. McAninch, wife Mary Jane, and a [previously unknown] child.

This is believed to be William McAninch, b. circa 1810, [Casey Co.] KY, his wife Margaret, sons George R., b. circa 1834, and Jacob D., b. circa 1837, and three daughters (Louisa, Mary, Martha, and/or Margaret). In the 1850 census, this family is in Charlton Twp., Appanoose County, Iowa [Nat’l Archives, M432, Roll 182, page 14 (B)], and then, in 1870, son Jacob D. is found in Jackson Twp., Monroe County, Iowa [Nat’l Archives, M593, Roll 412, page 346].

The Iowa State Census, 1852, has been microfilmed, available on LDS films 1,022,204 and -205.

This is believed to be James Ira McAninch, born Oct. 12, 1851, Iowa (his parents both born in Indiana), his wife Phoebe (Walters), and their eight children, with James H. “Harry” McAninch, Royal “Roy” McA., Ira Pearl McA., May H. “Hannah” McA., and John W. “Floyd” McA. (three sons, Harry, Ira Pearl, and Floyd, migrated south to Blackwell and Tonkawa, Kay Co., Oklahoma).
