Handwriting information --

1. earliest entries are written in “handwriting one”, and this “handwriting one” only

    appears in the first Bible (there are no “handwriting one” entries in the second Bible)

1. a. characteristics:

        distinctive “hooked” crossed-’t’s (look like ‘4’s); “County” or “Cty”, not “Co.

1. b. could these entries have been written by Sarah J. (McDaniel) McAninch herself?

2. the next entries are written in “handwriting two”, which appears in both Bibles;

    believe this is John D. McAninch himself, who can be identified from his signature

    on the 1905 Marriage Certificate

2. a. characteristics:

        leading high-scroll on capital ‘M’s, especially McAninch; abbreviation “Co.

2. b. not Lizzie (McDonald) McAninch, handwriting two is nothing like her signature

       on the 1905 Marriage Certificate

3. the last entries, hand-printed, have been identified by David McAninch as the work

    of his father, Roy D. McAninch; David wrote “All of the modern printing was by my

    father, Roy. He was a geologist and printed on a lot of maps”
