The 1830 Census of Giles County, Tennessee, lists five other McAninch males, 20-30:

1. McAnevich, Henry Gi[les]-142 10001-1

1 M adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [Henry McAninch]

1 M child 0- 5 b.1825-1830, 1 F child 0- 5 b.1825-1830

2. McAninch, A. Gi[les]-146 00001 - 00001

1 M adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [A. McAninch]

1 F adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [his wife?]

3. McAninah, S. Gi[les]-172 00001 - 0001

1 F adult 15-20 b.1810-1815 [his wife (est. age 18-19)?]

1 F adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [William's wife]

2 M child 0- 5 b.1825-1830, 1 F child 0- 5 b.1825-1830

5. McAninch, Saml. Gi[les]-172 00001 00001 - 00001 0001

1 M adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [Samuel, head-of-household]

1 F adult 20-30 b.1800-1810 [Samuel's wife

1 M adult 80-90 b.1740-1750, 1 F adult 60-70 b.1760-1770

It is not yet known who all these five McAninch males are, although it is believed

that William is probably a son of William [who died 1813, Casey County, Kentucky].

This Samuel in 1830 is too old to be Kathy McAninch's Samuel D. McAninch, b. 1822

[Samuel D. McAninch article, MFHN Vol.II No.4 Dec.1994 pg.1994-38,39].

John and Henry are the only McA/I/Nninch's found in the 1840 Tennesse census,

although William is known to be in DeSoto County, Mississippi, before 1840.

The 1840 census lists "McAminch, Henry", McNairy County, Tennessee, pg. 038:

  Henry McAninch 0010 010 000 000 - 2110 100 000 000

  1 M adult 30-40 b.1800-1810 [Henry, head-of-household]

  1 F adult 20-30 b.1810-1820 [Henry's wife]

  1 M youth 10-15 b.1825-1830, 1 F youth 10-15 b.1825-1830,

  1 F child 5-10 b.1830-1835, 2 F child 0- 5 b.1835-1840.

It appears likely that this is the same Henry McAninch family, in both 1830 and 1840.

There are six McAninch males in "Kentucky" branches known born 1800-1810:

a. Daniel's youngest son, b.1802-1804, KY [probably not named Samuel],

b. John (and Patsy)'s two oldest sons, b. 1800-1810, in Kentucky, and

c. three sons of William McAninch [William who died 1813, Casey County]:

    William, b. Abt.1805, Samuel, b. Apr.1807, and Jesse, b. Aft.1807,
