annual tax lists for Lincoln County, Kentucky, between 1787 and 1811, who claimed land

(but may not have occupied that land) . . . listed in alphabetical order with the date of the

tax record, number of the tax book, page number of the original entry, amount of acreage,

nearest watercourse (land drained by this watercourse, but the land may not be adjacent to it),

Pulaski County was defined by an Act of the General Assembly, December 10, 1798, to

begin June, 1799, formed out of the territory of Lincoln and Green Counties, and named

for Count Casimir Pulaski, a Polish officer and cavalry commander who fought and died in
