Ulster: “Scotch Corners” has been found, in County Monaghan, one of the three Counties in Ulster Province that are part of the Republic of Ireland (the other six counties are in Northern Ireland). Scotch Corners, a small village near the border, can be found at <http://www.mapquest.co.uk>. Their search engine only finds U.K. and Northern Ireland locations, so, “Scotch Corners” will return “Not Found”. Instead, enter “Keady”, which is in Northern Ireland, and then re-center the map on “Braddocks”, across the border in the Republic. Scotch Corners is about two kilometers south-east of Braddocks, in County Monaghan. Found by ‘Mikki’ McAninch, Des Moines, Iowa. |
