This indenture ... sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Between John McAninch and Elisabeth his wife of the first part and Asa Freeman of the second part Witnesseth: ... John McAninch and Elisabeth his wife for ... four hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States ... have granted, bargained, sold, aliened [sic], enfieffed [sic], released, and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfieff, release, and confirm unto the said Asa Freeman ... his heirs and assigns ... land situate partly in Franklin and partly in Buffalo Townships in the County of Armstrong and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a post on the line of Joseph Cogleys land thence along said line North three degrees West seventy-seven perches thence North eighty-seven degrees East two hundred and eighteen and one-half perches thence South three degrees East seventy-seven perches thence South eighty-seven degrees West two hundred eighteen and one-half perches to the place of Beginning Containing ninety-nine acres and allowance +c [etc.] Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, woods, ways, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; and the revisions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said John McAninch and Elisabeth his wife ... have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written |

John McAninch and Elisabeth his wife and acknowledged the above indenture to be their his act and deed ... the said Elisabeth being examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the contents of the said indenture being first made known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord, sign, sell and as her act said deed deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband. Witness the hand and seal of said Justice the seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand |

This indenture ... the sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four ... Asa Freeman of Buffalo Township in the County of Armstrong and State of Pennsylvania ... and John McAninch Senior of the same place of the other part, Whereas the said Asa Freeman ... by a certain obligation or writing obligatory under his hand and seal bearing even date herewith ... unto the said John McAninch Senior in the sum of seven hundred dollars, conditional for the payment of three hundred and fifty dollars in the following manner one hundred dollars on first day of May A.D. 1836 one hundred dollars on first day of May A.D. 1837 one hundred dollars on first day of May A.D. 1838 and fifty dollars on the first day of May A.D. 1839 ... the said Asa Freeman ... in consideration of the aforesaid debt or sum of three hundred and fifty dollars and for the better securing the payment thereof unto the said John McAninch Senior his executors administrators and assigns ... the further sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said John McAninch Sr. at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof ... hath granted bargained sold released and confirmed ... land situate partly [in] Franklin and partly in Buffalo Townships ...
