For reference, Daniel McAninch's household listed 11 people in the 1810 census:

The 1810 census also lists Samuel [went to Indiana abt. 1832] and William [d.1813,

Casey County], but not William’s sons Jonathon [age 21] nor Samuel [age 3 in 1810].

The Casey County Tax Records show Jonathon McAninch [son of William], from 1810

[10:p14:08, 200 acres, Fishing Creek, Entered by John Humphrey] through 1849,

although there are some years missing [1849, North, pg. 27, no. 3, 1 White Male

over 21, 3 horses, and 5 "Children between 7 and 17"]. This Jonathan McAninch

[son of William] is a long-term resident of Casey County, and is definitely not the

same person as John McAninch, son of Daniel.

The Casey County Tax Records also show James McAninch [son of William], from 1807

[no land], 1808 [153 acres on Fishing Creek, Ent(ered): Isaac Harris], through his last

entry in 1817 [50 acres, Fishing Creek, Ent(ered): Isaac Harris]. With many other

McAninch’s, James went to Giles County, Tennessee (1812, 1814 records) [upd. /2018]

In 1817, the Casey County Tax Records show both Daniel McAninch's, father and son:

[17:p13:04] McAninch, Daniel Snr., 1 White Male > 21, 3 horses, 90 acres,

[17:p13:05] McAninch, Daniel Jr., 1 White Male > 21, 1 horse, 80 acres.

This is the final entry for the elder Daniel in the Kentucky tax records. The younger

Daniel (son of Daniel) is on the Casey County Tax Lists through 1822, inclusive;

the younger Daniel marries Dorcas Burks, 8 Jan. 1822, Mercer County, Kentucky, and,

in 1829 he gets land in Hendricks County and Putnam County, Indiana. [upd. /2018]

The 1820 and 1830 Census index for Kentucky only shows Samuel McAninch (son of

Daniel) [Samuel went to Indiana abt. 1832]. The Casey County Tax Records, however,

show Jonathon McAninch [b. 1789, son of William] from 1810 to 1849, and lists

Jonathon on the 1850 Census in Casey County, so, it is clear that the John McAninch

in Giles County, Tennessee, can not be the same person as Jonathon, son of William.
