This indenture ... between John McAninch of the one part and John Amis of the other part ...

the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid and the other considerations hereinafter mentioned in

trust ... five head of horses, one waggon[sic] and gear, sixteen head of cattle and forty head of

stock hogs, after leaving out my pork hogs and also a pare[sic] of carryLog [sic] wheels and

all the appendages.

To have and to hold the same for the purposes herein provided in trust and no other use

whatsoever

That is whereas Jordan

[pg.560] Whitley has become my security by endorsement on a note dated the 30th October

1840 and due the first day of February 1841 and payable at the office of the Planters Bank of

Tennessee at Pulaski for the sum of four hundred and thirty six dollars and twenty five cents ...
