This indenture ... 16th day of February 1836 between Henry McAninch ... all of the County of
Giles and State of Tennessee
... six hundred dollars ...
to the said McAninch one equal half ... land situated in said County on the waters of Big Creek
& butted & bounded as follow
... beginning at the third corner of Grant No. 15700 [15780?] running north one
[pg.6] hundred + twelve + 14/100 poles to a dogwood on other corner of said Grant thence
[west?] seventy four poles to another corner of said Grant to a stake nine links east of a beech
marked as a painter thence north six poles to another corner of said Grant to a stake thence west
thirty poles to a stake another corner of said Grant thence north fourteen poles to a stake another
corner of said Grant thence west forty one to a stake Millers corner then south one hundred +
thirty four + [?]/100 poles to a stake thence east one thousand + thirty five poles [to] another
corner of said Grant continuing on the same course to the beginning
containing one hundred and ten + 3/4 acres be the same more or less
Being the same tract of land deed to the said McAninch + the said Beavers equally + jointly
by William Foster on the 24th day of July 1835 and Registered in the Register office of Giles
County in Book L pages 284 + 285 ...
