This indenture made and entered into this the 24th day of July one thousand eight hundred & |

thirty five between William Foster of the one part Henry McAninch and William H. Beavers of |
|
|
the other part [end pg. 284] |

[pg. 285] all of the County of Giles & State of Tennessee Witnesseth that I the said William Foster |
|
|
has this day sold unto the said McAninch & Beavers a certain tract of land situate lying and being |
|
|
in the county and state aforesaid & on the waters of big creek |
|
|
Beginning as follows at the third corner of Grant No. fifteen thousand seven hundred and ten |
|
|
running North one hundred and twelve poles 14/100 to a dogwood another corner of said grant |
|
|
thence West seventy four poles to another corner of said grant to a stake nine links east of a |
|
|
Beech marked as a pointer thence North six poles to another corner of said grant to a stake |
|
|
thence West thirty poles to a stake another corner of said grant thence North fourteen poles to a |
|
|
stake another corner of said grant thence West forty one poles to a stake Millers Corner thence |
|
|
North one hundred & thirty four & 84/100 poles to a stake thence East one hundred and thirty five |
|
|
poles another corner of said grant continuing on the same course to the beginning |
|
|
Containing one hundred & ten & ¾ acres |
|
|
For the sum of twelve hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said McAninch & Beavers & |
|
|
the same I the said William Foster doth covenant to & with the said McAninch & Beavers that |
|
|
their heirs & successors in that to warrant & forever defend the right title & claim & appurtenances |
|
|
thereunto belonging from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming the same lawfully |
|
|
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first written |
