For 110 ¾ acres of land in Giles County

Wm. H. Beavers

Registered the 29th July 1835

 

This indenture made and entered into this the 24th day of July one thousand eight hundred &

thirty five between William Foster of the one part Henry McAninch and William H. Beavers of

the other part [end pg. 284]

[pg. 285] all of the County of Giles & State of Tennessee Witnesseth that I the said William Foster

has this day sold unto the said McAninch & Beavers a certain tract of land situate lying and being

in the county and state aforesaid & on the waters of big creek

Beginning as follows at the third corner of Grant No. fifteen thousand seven hundred and ten

running North one hundred and twelve poles 14/100 to a dogwood another corner of said grant

thence West seventy four poles to another corner of said grant to a stake nine links east of a

Beech marked as a pointer thence North six poles to another corner of said grant to a stake

thence West thirty poles to a stake another corner of said grant thence North fourteen poles to a

stake another corner of said grant thence West forty one poles to a stake Millers Corner thence

North one hundred & thirty four & 84/100 poles to a stake thence East one hundred and thirty five

poles another corner of said grant continuing on the same course to the beginning

Containing one hundred & ten & ¾ acres

For the sum of twelve hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said McAninch & Beavers &

the same I the said William Foster doth covenant to & with the said McAninch & Beavers that

their heirs & successors in that to warrant & forever defend the right title & claim & appurtenances

thereunto belonging from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming the same lawfully

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first written

Personally appeared before me Charles G. Abernathy Clerk of the Chancery Court at Pulaski

the within named William Foster the land [owner?] with whom I am personally acquainted

and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained
