Montana (Ed McNinch, b.1875, Illinois, d. 23 Feb. 1921, Beaverhead County, Montana).


Effie served as Postmaster at Lima, Beaverhead County, Montana, from 6 June 1919 to


17 Feb. 1921 (almost two years). Effie moved to Puyallup, Washington; she died there


17 July 1946, and is buried in Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington.

Minnie McAninch. b. 13 Nov. 1903, Arkansas (prob. Sebastian County), daughter of


John H. McAninch (b.ca.1882, Arkansas? Missouri?, John H. poss. son of Charles and


Maria McAninch, Missouri) and Ethel Dempsey (b. May 1883, Gallatin County, Illinois).


Ethel Dempsey married(1st) John H. McAninch, 8 May 1902, Sebastian County,


Arkansas, and John H. McAninch appears to have died before 1910.


In the 1910 census, Ethel is a widow with two small children, Minnie, age 6, and


Dale P. McAninch, age 4 (b. 13 Nov. 1905, Arkansas, prob. Sebastian County), all living


with Ethel’s parents, William H. and ‘Jenny’ Dempsey, at Hartford, Sebastian County.


Ethel (Dempsey) McAninch married(2nd) Alfred S. Baldwin, 23 Dec. 1915, Sebastian


County, Arkansas. Alfred S. Baldwin (b.ca.1882, Mississippi, d.1963) was a grocery


merchant in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, and served as Postmaster at Hitchita,


McIntosh County, Oklahoma, from 6 Sept. 1919 to 3 Mar. 1921 (18 months).


Alfred S. and Ethel (Dempsey) (McAninch) Baldwin had one child together, daughter


Daphne T. Baldwin (b.ca.1919), and, in 1920, all five (Alfred, Ethel, Minnie, Dale, and


Daphne) are living together in Turner Township, McIntosh County, Oklahoma.


Subsequently, "Miss Minnie McAninch", age 17-18, was acting Postmaster at the same


Post Office, Hitchita, McIntosh County, from 21 July 1921 to 14 Dec. 1921 (five months).


Minnie McAninch married Clarence Dennis Meador (b. 7 Dec. 1893, Belton, Cass County,


Missouri), and they had two sons, William H. Meador, b. 12 Dec. 1923, and George D.


Meador, b. 7 Mar. 1926. Clarence and Minnie lived in Miami, Ottowa County, Oklahoma;


Clarence died there, 5 Mar. 1961, Minnie died 7 Sept. 2002, and they are both buried in


the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Miami, Ottawa County, Oklahoma.
