had three daughters, and no sons, and went to Wyandot County, Ohio [no John b.1821]

Henry McAninch (2G:9), born 16 Feb. 1802 (third son of John McA. 1G:2); Henry

 

 

married Elizabeth Bowser, and they lived in Armstrong County through 1850, and

 

 

went west to Missouri and Iowa. Their two oldest sons, one b.1820-1825, and the

 

 

second son b.1825-1830, in Pennsylvania (prob. Armstrong County), have only been

 

 

identified on Henry’s census records [oldest son, b.1820-1825, could be John b.1821?]

Daniel (or David?) McAninch (2G.10) is believed to have gone to Ohio with

 

 

Archibald McNinch (1G:3), went to Ohio in 1816 [no John b.1821 in Pennsylvania]

 

Contemporary (William) Alexander McAninch in Central Pennsylvania

 

There was a contemporary early McAninch family in Huntingdon County, central Pennsylvania.

(William) Alexander McAninch, born 17 Jun 1767, in Ireland [prob. Ulster Province, (northern)

Ireland], who married Agnes Cornell, born April 6, 1767 in Germany [married ca. early 1790’s,

prob. in Pennsylvania(?)]. Alexander and Agnes had nine children, with five sons. The male lines

have been traced through Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa [including John Bunyan McAninch, b.ca.1801,

married Elizabeth McClain, and went to Ohio and Indiana], and there is no John b.1821 [Note 11]
