In the Chinese lunar calendar, the ‘Year of the Red Fire Pig’ 4704 begins on February 18, 2007 |

(‘boar’ on the Hawaiian calendars, ‘honey-glazed ham’ in suburbia, wild ‘javelina’ in Arizona, and |
|
Arkansas Razorback ‘red hog’s down in the Southeastern Conference). The sequence of the twelve |
|
animals is Rat, Cow, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Chicken, Dog, and Pig. |

|
|
In the traditional 60 and 120-year cycles, these are combined with Yin-Yang and the Five Elements |
|
(Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth), and 2007 is also a ‘Female Fire Pig’ year [fire is equivalent |
|

Chinese New Year marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring, a time for family reunions, |
