John W. McAninch died in 1891, probably in Clinton County, Indiana (not Iowa), and then his wife Martha Ann died five years later, on 12 Oct. 1896, in Russiaville, Howard County, Indiana [40]. |

Unfortunately, Samuel A. McAninch died before the 1880 census, but his widow Matilda McAninch and their three children can be found in the 1880 census, in Johnson Township, Clinton County [38]. |
