[30] Wm. [William] S. McAninch, Coatesville, Member, 1861, “Removed by Letter”. Born in 1835,

son of Samuel and Polly (Skidmore) McAninch; married Mary Johnson [Note 22], served as a

Sergeant in the 18th Indiana Light Artillery Battalion (Eli Lilly’s battalion), then went  to Iowa.

[31] _____ McAninch, Hendricks County, Baptism [est. 1863]. Whose child is this ?

[32] _____ McAninch, Coatesville, two 1873 Baptisms, DOBs 1870 and 1872. Three possible pairs

[A.] James D. McA. and Phebe J. McA., children of Joseph F. and Amy E.(Elizabeth) (Howerton)

McAninch [but, James D. McA. born Nov. 1869, per 1870 Census (M593 R322 p.364)], or

[B.] William C. McA. and Cora B. McA., children of John W. and Nancy Jane (Allee) McAninch

[but, William shown age 1 in 1870 census (M593 R353 p.163), so probably born in 1869], or

[C.] Ezra McA. and Clara or Everett McA., children of Milton C. and Julia A. (Bryant) McAninch

      (Milton, b. 1845, son of Elisha and Bersheba (Scott) McA., mar. Julia A. Bryant, Feb. 8, 1869;

Ezra born Feb. 1870 [1870 Census, M593 R353 p.201], children Clara and Everett born later,

exact dates unknown; unlikely, since Milton and Julia are not named in other Church records).

[33] Joseph F. McAninch married Amy E. (Elizabeth) Howerton, Nov. 19, 1868, in Hendricks

County. It is probable that Daniel and Rebecca J. Howerton, and Amy E. (Howerton) McAninch,

are related [three listed together, all marked “Dropee” on the 1870 Class list]. This Daniel and

Rebecca could be her parents, or Daniel could be Amy’s brother, uncle, whatever [Notes 7, 16]

[34] Cecil Ray McAninch, married Forest Elizabeth Wilcox. Cecil Ray McAninch, son of Harvey

and Evangeline (Arnold) McA. Harvey born 1874, married Evangeline Arnold, Dec. 19, 1894, in

Putnam County. Harvey was a son of Asberry and Lucinda (Staley) McAninch, a grand-son of

Elisha and Bersheba (Scott) McA., and g-g-son of Samuel and Mary “Polly” (Skidmore) McA.

The identity of the witness “Miss McAninch” is not known.

[35] Mary M. Pike, Funeral 1916. Wife of W.O. Pike, “Mary M. / His Wife / 1861-1916”, buried in

Coatesville Cemetery. This Mary is not Mary [Mathews] Pike, widow of Moses B. Pike, brother

of Phebe (Pike) McA. (wife of Daniel McA., Note 26), children of Tristram and Margaret Pike.
