Missouri: "Charles W. [Winston] McAninch. Born in Casey County, Kentucky, March 5, 1849; died near Hughesville, Missouri, June 22, 1926. He came to Missouri early in life, and was educated at Georgetown Academy. He served as presiding judge of the Pettis county court from 1905 to 1914. He also served one term as representative from Pettis county [in the state legislature]. He was at one time treasurer of the Missouri State Fair Board." [Missouri Hist. Missouri, 1880: Land sale, J. F. McAninch and others, to W. B. McAninch:

This deed, between Mary P. Salmon and husband E.H., J. F. McAninch, a bachelor, Z. T. McAninch and wife Mary J., and C. W. McAninch a bachelor, of the first part, and W. B. McAninch of the second part. Wherewith, that said party of the first part, in consideration of One Hundred and Fifteen dollars, Forty-Seven Dollars of which in hand paid, the balance unpaid, do hereby grant and convey to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, the ... described property being a certain tract or parcel of land in Casey County [last line on page lost] grantors herein as children of Harrison McAninch dec'd, in all land owned and possessed by our Grandfather George McAninch dec'd, it being the portion allotted and conveyed to us by Commissioners [?] and our remainder in the widows dower, the deed to us and papers [licensing?] title are all referred to as part hereby, to have and to hold the same with all its appurtenances to the second party, his heirs and assigns forever, with covenant of General Warranty.

1839: "Ordered ... Mr. Winslow be Overseer of the Road from Hernando to McAninch Ferry on Coldwater and that [unreadable] the following hands ... Abram Smith + hands, James W. McAninch, [P?] Dockery + hands, ... and others not allocated to access roads.", 11 March 1839, page 42;

1840: "Ordered...that W. McAninch be Overseer of the Road from Hernando [to] his bridge on Coldwater...", September Term, 1840, page 104;

and: "Ordered ... that W. McAninch be authorised to take the following tolls for the use of his bridge [across?] Cold Water - [?]5, the same that allowed at [unreadable] ferry [of?] Cold Water", pg. 112

February 1855. Decree to sell Land 1 + 2 yrs Credits.

March 1856. Order for Citation to Adminx. to make annual Settlement. Sale of Real Estate confirmed $1105.00. Decree for Dower in Real Estate.

Sept. 1856. Ac/c[?] Sales Slaves returned $575.00. Amended decree for Dower.

Oct. 1856. Annual Settlement made January 1857. Petition for Dower publication ordered. C [?] petition for distribution. Continued.

March 1857. Decree for Dower

Dec'r 1857. m r 6 p 57 [?] order for Citation to Adminx. to make final settlement.
