This indenture made and entered into this tenth day of August 1841 between |

Jonathon McAninch, Wm. McAninch, Jesse McAninch + George McAninch attorney |

[in] fact of Samuel McAninch on the one part + Amos F. Jones of the other all of the |
|
County of Casey and State of Ky. |
|
witnesseth that the said Jonathon McAninch, William McAninch, Jesse McAninch and |
|
George McAninch attorney in fact of Samuel McAninch, for in consideration of the sum |
|
of six hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Amos F. Jones, before the |
|
selling of this presents whereof they the said McAninchs for the receipt of the same |
|
doth acknowledge that they have bargained and sold and do hereby bargain and sell |
|
the aforesaid Amos F. Jones one hundred and forty-three acres of land wherein they |
|
are legatees of William McAninch deceased where in [he?] was assinee[sic] of |
|
Caleb Brown, and patented by William |

|
of land of 286 acres on the waters of Fishing Creek and bounded as follows to wit |

Beginning at a hickory the corner of the original survey thence S. 85 E. 45 poles to a |
|
poplar saplin[g] thence S. 65 E. 26 poles to a black oak and hickory sapling N. 0 E. 20 |
|
poles to a dogwood thence N. 88 E. 150 poles to a spanish and hickory thence N. 3 |
|
W. 22 poles to a stake near a sinkhole thence N. 41 E. 116 to white oak thence N. 20 |
|
E. 63 poles to a stake thence north 70 west 150 to the beginning |
|
the said Jonathon McAninch, William McAninch, Jesse McAninch and George McAninch |
|
attorney in fact of Samuel McAninch cause with its [ap]pertances to have and to hold |
|
the above said tract or parcel of land to him Amos F. Jones and his heirs and assigns |
|
forever and we the above said Jonathon McAninch, William McAninch, Jesse McAninch |
|
and George McAninch attorney in fact of Samuel McAninch do warrant and defend the |
|
said tract of land from them and their heirs and assigns forever and also from all prior |
|
claim or claims unto the said Amos F. Jones his heirs executors and assigns in witness |
|
whereof we have hereunder set our hand and seal the day and date above written |

13th of May 1842 the foregoing deed was presented to me and acknowledged by |

William McAninch and on the 19th of May 1842 by the oaths of Thomas E. Jones and |

Thomas M. Jones was proven to be the act and deed of Jonathon McAninch and |
|
Jesse McAninch whereupon the same is truly recorded in my office. |
