watercourse is "Fishing Creek", "Entered" and "Surveyed" by James Brown, 3 horses

W 165 poles to a white oak & two small beeches at B, supposed to be on a [military?]

line thence S 5 [deg] E 106 poles to a hickory and dogwood on a agreed line between

said J. Brown and one Gibbs thence with said agreed line S 43 [deg] E 77 poles to a

sugar tree & Buckeye growing together at the root thence S 60 [deg] E 74 poles to ash,

two dogwoods, Spanish oak and sugar tree where said agreed line comes on a line of

Wm. McAnnichs [sic], thence N 12 [deg] E 194 poles to a dogwood, White oak & Black

oak, thence N 86 [deg] W 2 poles to the beginning.

[Samuel "Indiana" McA., b.1789, age 23, and George A., b.1794, age 18, 1812]

 

Note 1812-4: The [alleged] "Samuel McAninch - Catherine Carter" marriage reported

by some people [including "Lincoln County, Kentucky, Marriages and Tombstone

Inscriptions, 1780-1850", by Shirley Dunn, 1977, pg.23] did NOT happen.

In the "Mc" index, the 1812 entry "Joseph McCormack - Catherine Carter" is one line

above the 1813 "Samuel McAninch - Polly Skidmore" marriage [transcription error]
