Ohio: The "Ohio portion" of the "pre-1979" chart, as printed last quarter:

1. First, for comparison, the "Ohio part", as printed in the last issue:

 1. William Nelson [m] Margaret Holderbaum

 2. Samuel  | 1. John

 3. Elisha  | 2. Calvin born O., Calvin's children:

 4. John    | 3. Edward  "  "  | Hubert

 5.  ?      | 4. Tokea         | John

            | 5. Martha        | George W. b.1863 Youngstown,O.

            | 6. George                | m. Margaret Teagarten

            | 7. William               | 1. John N. m. ___?__ ___?__

                                       | 2. James O.    | 1. Nelson

                                       | 3. William     | 2. John N. Jr.

                                       | 4. George Jr.  | 3. Margaret

                                       | 5.,6.,7.,8.,               Ruth

2. Second, it seems clear that this chart refers to the "three brothers" John, Henry, and William, of Allegheny River in western Pennsylvania.

3. Third, I now believe that the first two lines of the Ohio chart, with the two names standing alone, probably do not mean “William Henry [McAninch]”, as I wrote in that issue, but, instead, probably mean that the researcher had second-generation and third-generation names, but didn't know which of the two (non-John) brothers to put the children with; also, he/she had no info on wives.

4. Fourth, two people (Dorothy Goudy McAninch and James F. McAninch) report that George W.'s father's name was William, and that it was that particular William who was married to Margaret Holderbaum.

5. Thus, a current re-cast of the "Ohio portion" might be as follows:

William [or] Henry    [brothers of John (who stayed in Pennsylvania)]

 _______      _____    [Spouse(s) Unknown]

 Second       Third
